For those who aren’t aware, Kristie took a major test a few weeks ago for her teaching career. It’s a national test and basically if she doesn’t pass it, she doesn’t teach… ever. The test is broken into two sections; a multiple choose section and a multiple essay section.

Her multiple choice section results were posted today and she PASSED!!! Congratulations Kristie! :-D

Film Exposes True Face, Numbers of March for Life | Christianpost.com.

One of the things that has always been in the forefront of my mind was the fight that we as Christians, humans, and responsible adults need to be a part of on behalf of those who can’t fight for themselves.

I never understood how truly beautiful life really was till I held Christian. As stated in the article, it’s a shame that we as “Americans are pushing for laws to protect animals, plants and the environment yet are allowing a human life to be killed.”

How sad.

I’ve only watched a bit of the video “Thine Eyes” so far, but I encourage you to watch it and maybe learn. Remember… our right as Americans is to VOTE. Isn’t it time we voted for people who are going to do the right thing for the helpless instead of those who do the right thing for their pocketbook.

Spotting a Hidden Handgun

Found this on the web today. Haven’t really thought much about it, but I have noticed some bulges in others coats from time to time. Have a look. Next time you’re in Wally World see if you can spot the MWAG.

I was browsing the Glock Talk forums and found a link to some free targets for download. I simply couldn’t resist. Hopefully it won’t cost too much to print these, but oh well… a few bucks for some fun during training will be worth it.

And my own personal favorite of them all!

Two to four inches of snow huh. At least it isn’t ice. Sure wish it was more like ten inches of snow though.

You are a disgusting fat body, Private Pyle!

I uploaded this to one of the weight loss sites that I’ve joined. Just thought I’d mirror it here as for motivation. Who knows….. maybe public humiliation will be more of a motivator. :-D

I’m posting a Before pic as motivation to myself and maybe others. After years of putting off getting into shape, I found a picture of myself from about 5 years ago. This is the good part…
http://corridor9.net/mytemp/Rescue9_Aug2005.jpg

Unfortunately, after 5 years, a wedding, getting more comfortable in my home & work life, and a lot of eating I’ve put on 50 lbs. I wish I could say that the picture of me above was current, but alas this is not the case. I didn’t realize how much heavier I am now than I was back then until I put the pictures side by side.

My goal is to lose all this worthless weight I’ve been packing on the past 5 years, to get in shape with exercise, monitoring my intake, and realizing that this is NOT A DIET! I have to understand that this is a life change, otherwise I’ll fail like I have for the past 5 years.

First day of Exercise.

As I mentioned last night, I started keeping track of my calorie intake the past few days. I’ve been able to lose a bit of weight already and have seem some definite improvements inĀ  my energy level. Today started a new page in my ongoing goal to lose weight and change my life habits for a more healthy me. I started exercising again. yes, I know… it’s something that I do every new years. However, I just have to remember that I have a long term goal and not a “diet” but a life change.

BTW: I burned 320 calories this morning on the treadmill. :-D

Ok…. so we know I’ve been through this before. I start a diet, it goes well for a week or 2 then…. KABLOOEY! It all gets blown up. Well, this time I’m trying it different. I’ve gotten an application for my iPhone called Lose It! that helps me keep track of my total calorie intake easily and quickly. No more writing things dow, or having to remember what I ate. I simply input the information into the application and it calculates everything for me. There is even a website http://loseit.com that has forums, a daily & weekly graphic such as the one below, and motivational emails that help me stay on track. In short…. I’m giving this a go yet again. I found a picture from a few years ago and compared it with a picture I took today. can you say Disgusting Fatbody Private Pyle!

Where does God stand in our Country?

I want you to take a look at a picture that was sent to me the past few days. It represents our contry, it’s founding fathers, some of it’s problems, and Jesus standing in the middle. Hover over each person and see where they stood and what they did to further the light of Jesus in America today. Examine it closely, then ask yourself…. where do you stand?
